We ask that you be 28-31 days from your last period before you come to the Center for a pregnancy test in order to ensure you have an accurate test result. A positive result will detect the hormone HGC in your urine. It usually takes about the amount of time of a missed period for HGC to be present in your system. All information shared by you will be kept in strictest confidence except as required by law or as required for your protection or the protection of others.
Is an appointment necessary?
We prefer for you to make an appointment so that we can best assist you. If you need a pregnancy test, a walk-in may be possible. We will do our best to accommodate you. However, to minimize your wait we suggest you call and set an appointment.

Is there a cost? And what should I bring to my appointment?
Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center’s services are free. We ask that you bring a photo ID to your appointment.
Can you provide birth control or emergency contraception?
Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center does not prescribe or refer for birth control or emergency contraception. We do provide information on the different types of birth control and their effectiveness. For information on emergency contraception (Plan B), click here.
Do you provide abortions?
